1. Participation & Eligibility

Participation in cheerleading and related activities at Virtus Athletics requires physical exertion and athletic ability. Athletes and parents/guardians confirm that participants:

• Are physically capable of participating

• Have disclosed all relevant medical conditions

• Will follow all gym rules and coach instructions

Participants under 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Assumption of Risk

Cheerleading is a physically demanding sport that includes inherent risks such as, but not limited to, falls, collisions, sprains, fractures, concussions, and other serious injuries.

By participating, athletes and guardians voluntarily assume all known and unknown risks associated with cheerleading activities, whether occurring during practice, training, events, travel, or performances.

3. Waiver & Release of Liability

All participants are required to sign a separate waiver and release of liability prior to participation.
By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you acknowledge that:

• Participation is voluntary

• Virtus Athletics, its owners, staff, coaches, and affiliates are not liable for injuries except where required by law

• This applies to classes, open gyms, camps, clinics, private lessons, and events

4. Code of Conduct

Athletes, parents, and spectators are expected to maintain respectful behavior at all times.

Unacceptable behavior includes:

• Harassment, bullying, or discrimination

• Disruptive behavior toward coaches or staff

• Inappropriate language or conduct

• Negative or harmful social media activity involving the gym, athletes, or staff

Virtus Athletics reserves the right to remove or dismiss anyone who violates this code, without refund.

5. Payments, Fees & Refund Policy

• Tuition, registration fees, competition fees, and other charges must be paid on time

• Late or declined payments may result in late fees or suspension from activities

• Fees are non-refundable, except where required by law

• Missed classes are not eligible for refunds or credits

• Competition fees are non-refundable once paid to third parties

6. Schedule Changes & Cancellations

Virtus Athletics reserves the right to:

• Change class schedules

• Substitute coaches

• Combine or cancel classes

• Modify programs as necessary

No refunds are issued for schedule changes beyond our control (including weather, facility issues, or competition changes).

7. Health, Injury & Safety

• Athletes must report injuries or illnesses to coaches immediately

• Return-to-play decisions may require medical clearance

• Virtus Athletics may restrict participation if an athlete is deemed unsafe to continue

• Sick athletes should not attend classes or events

8. Photography & Media Release

By participating, you grant Virtus Athletics permission to use photographs and videos of athletes for promotional purposes, including social media, website content, and marketing materials.

If you wish to opt out, written notice must be submitted to management.

9. Personal Property

Virtus Athletics is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought to the facility or events.

10. Website Use & Intellectual Property

All website content—including logos, photos, videos, choreography descriptions, and text—is the property of Virtus Athletics and may not be copied, distributed, or used without written permission.

11. Privacy Policy

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information, including information related to minors.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Virtus Athletics shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation or website use.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Virtus Athletics from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your participation or violation of these Terms & Conditions.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Virginia and the United States of America.

15. Changes to Terms

Virtus Athletics reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued participation or website use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
